🧐 What is feedback ?
Feedback is an essential tool for any company, regardless of the industry or the size. This process allow companies, managers and collaborators to make decisions.
Feedback does two things: it fosters a positive work environment and is an essential part of the creation of meaningful goals.
Promoting feedback help collaborators be more open an transparent in their communication within the organization. This facilitates resolution of frustrating issue and enhance team collaboration/alignment.
Regarding the goal, it helps in identifying areas for improvement and possible opportunities for growth in both soft and hard skills. It helps at an individual level but also at a collective one: training programs can be created to help teams each new high.
🙋♀️ What are the topics ?
The feedback template is split in three sections:
- Collaboration between the reviewer and the reviewee
- Analysis of soft/hard skills (strengths weaknesses, areas of improvement)
- “Your opinion”, is a section that is optional and it serves as a notes taking part. Reviewer can write down their doubts, gut feeling…
🙋♂️ What can we learn about feedback ?
Feedback culture is a tought subject to break. This template will only help some people but the feedback topic has to be brought up by the company or managers at least. My advice would be to ask the people that give you those feedback to just do the same to the reviewee, it is easier to do so because there would be no surprise at all for anyone.
I’ll share the same link here than in the template to help you discover this mindset.
