My Food Court
About this template
MY FOOD COURT
• Organize the SOURCES of recipes (e.g., books, social media, food blogs, videos). My Food Court comes with over 440 pre-edited sources (cooking books, video channels, food blogs, ...).
• Keep track of the CREATORS of sources of recipes (e.g., chefs, authors, content creators). My Food Court comes with over 320 pre-entered creators.
• Assign RECIPES to sources and creators. There's a good chance the source or the creator is already included in My Food Court. Add as many sources, creators, and dishes as you like.
• Organize and arrange recipes by more than 15 pre-created VIEWS (filtering and sorting includes: new, status, course, food categories, menus, groups, dates done, repeat-regular, dates scheduled, and more ...).
• Quickly bundle same types of dishes (for many dishes, you're likely to have more than one recipe) or related recipes (which are not identical dishes but kind of related).
• Create MENUS.
• Include recipes in a specific database (included in a template on each page of a dish), useful for creating specific SHOPPING LISTS (it's highly recommended to read the manual in order to understand the mechanics and use of it). Personally, I'm not using this function since I don't want to spend more (useless) time on data handling over my pleasure of cooking.
• A MEAL PLANNER with more than 6 views, including table and calendar views for different time periods and dates done.
• Over 450 PRODUCTS stored in the products database ready to be selected for shopping lists. A magnitude of pre-installed views for expeditious selection of ingredients (staple, categories, etc.). Expand it on your own for nutrition or whatever other information you want to have. I didn't do this because I prefer cooking over data crunching. All up to you. Just add additional properties but think first about the time required for maintaining such data vs. the time you like to spend for cooking.
• If you like, you may pair dishes with WINES. The wine list provides already for the major wine regions and some sub-regions (French: 'appellation'), wineries within these regions, and the grapes. This is a fairly new feature. Any comments are highly welcomed (which applies to each and every of the various places within My Food Court).
• Keeping track of the places (restaurants, hotels, travel, ...)* where you have been or which you like to visit on the GOING OUT page.
• Never too late to learn and keep track of items learned, tricks and tips, stories, as you like. Just visit the SCHOOL AND LIBRARY.
• FAST FORWARD. Create your personalized dash board for items which you frequently use.
• Nothing comes without technical stuff. The machine room on the ADMINISTRATION page is where you find the databases, links to pages, synced blocks, and alike.
• A MANUAL shall assist you in enjoying YOUR FOOD COURT. It may not be complete in all respects and is a work in progress. However, the major items, issues, and handling aspects are explained. In case of any questions, just contact me.
