Advanced Expense Tracker v1.0 (EN)
About this template
Lately, my expenses have been really high! Starting from going to the mall with my wife and kids, buying this and that, even buying a work desk that can go up and down to support my daily work from home. What do I do? Yes, typing documents that are not aligned on the left and right, aka… coding. 😄
However, from here I realized: if we don't record our expenses and budget allocation properly, we will definitely end up broke! At least, by recording our expenses, I can know the total each month and immediately put the brakes on if it starts to go overboard.
Finally, I tried making an expense tracker template in Notion. Previously, I had tried using free templates—from Excel to Notion—but I thought it was still too complicated, especially if opened via cellphone! So, I made a template that was simple, easy to use, could be used for budget allocation, had a form that my wife and I could input directly from our cellphone, and was complete with a monthly report so it was clear where our money was going.
After 2 days of tinkering, it's done! Here it is: Advanced Personal Expense Tracker by myself, haha. Now, while we just got paid, my wife and I will try to use it to track next month's expenses. Who knows, maybe we can save and add to our savings.
A glimpse of the features of this Notion template that you can get without the hassle of looking at boxes in excel:
1. Add all wallet lists for monthly budget allocation.
2. Input outgoing and incoming money using a form, no need to open a laptop!
3. Daily, weekly and monthly reports are made simple and easy to read.
4. You can see what this month's expenses and previous months were used for.
