Bridge the gap between your mission and the people who will help drive it forward. Creating audience personas will deepen your understanding of different audience segments so you can tailor your communications and build stronger, more meaningful connections.

Most non-profit organizations will have at least 2-3 audience segments, including (but not limited to) current program participants, prospective program participants, donors, community partners, and government partners. This template helps you develop detailed profiles that represent your key audience segments. Each profile should aim to answer the following questions:

⇢ Goals & Aspirations: What does our audience hope to accomplish by engaging with our organization? Why might they connect with our mission? ⁠
⇢ Preferred Channels: Where does our audience prefer to interact with our organization? What are their preferred communication channels?⁠
⇢ Pain Points: Why might our audience hesitate to engage with our organization? What barriers are preventing further engagement? ⁠
